Digital Catalog generates savings and helps protect the environment

Sustainable actions must be more than just words. At MDS, the largest manufacturer of brake discs and drums in Latin America, commitment to the environment and sustainability is the rule.

One of the company's main initiatives is the investment in the free distribution of MDS's digital product catalog, first released in 2006.

With this initiative, the company avoided using 74 tons of paper, equivalent to 1,480 eucalyptus trees, 74,000 MW of electricity and 7.4 million liters of water.

"Our goal is to offer the best possible products, using a production line in harmony with the environment and industry," the company points out.

Dealers, customers, suppliers, maintenance shops and other consumers have already downloaded thousands of digital catalogs of the company's products, which contain detailed information on parts for brake systems, such as discs, drums, cylinders, hubs and shoes.

The download process is simple and fast. Go to the MDS website, click on product catalog and then fill in your name, email address, company, city and phone number. For registered users, just enter your email address.

Once installed on your computer, the MDS electronic catalog is updated monthly. This facilitates the work of service centers and resellers, who no longer need to wait for updated printed catalogues to provide their customers with the most up-to- date products on the market.

The initiative is also good for the environment, reducing the consumption of natural resources and the generation of waste.

MDS tips for responsible paper consumption:
- Use both sides of the page when printing or writing;
- Only print if necessary;
- Check texts before you print them;
- Use unbleached, chlorine-free paper.
