Product quality control ensures greater safety
MDS, the largest manufacturer of brake discs and drums in Latin America, is the only company in Brazil that has balancing control for the discs it produces. The process ensures greater safety for drivers and passengers as it avoids vibrations and reduces the wear of the components of the brake system.
Every 40 minutes, the parts that leave the machining process go through a procedure called parallelism, which determines whether or not there is a change in the size of the part. MDS is the only manufacturer of brake discs in Brazil that has this testing technology.
In addition to this process, MDS invests in other quality production procedures. All parts have codes that allow them to be tracked and include the date and lot of manufacturing. The products also undergo hardness tests and, in the case of brake discs, there is the roughness test, which guarantees more efficient braking.
